Painting With a Twist is a BLAST!

January 25, 2015

I just celebrated the best 42nd birthday that anyone has ever experienced EVER!

I decided I wanted to experience something that:

1. Was out of my comfort zone and

2. I had never done before.

So I gathered some of my favorite people together and spent a fabulous evening at “Painting With a Twist” in Lakeway.

I am the one in the middle with the beret.

All but one of us had ever painted before so we were all very sure that this would be a disaster.  I hysterical fun disaster but a disaster nonetheless.

We chose our aprons very carefully from the wide array of available choices along the wall, spread our munchies and goodies out on the table and took our seats at the table.

Kristen was the instructor and she was a blast... and so patient with all of us crazy ladies!  We had those of us who were relaxed and “going with the flow” and others who were gripping the sides of the canvas in panic as they attempted to draw a perfectly straight line for the guard rail of our “Congress Bridge” painting.

In the end I think we did a great job and best of all?  We laughed non stop for 2 hours and started planning the next visit before we were even done with our masterpieces!

I believe this will be an ongoing tradition that will include as many friends as capacity will allow in this fun studio!

Painting With a Twist encourages you to bring your own beverages, treats and whatever else makes you comfortable.  The staff is warm and inviting with a hint of sass to keep you in stitches the entire night.

Turning 42 was a blast and I think I will do it next year (and tell everyone I am turning 42 again of course!)

You can find their website here with all the information you need.  It is super easy to sign up!

*While I was given a chance to review this studio for free, the comments, pictures and opinions are my own.
